Ball State Writing Program Speaker Series
This page includes supplemental content for my Writing Program Speaker Series presentation, “E-Journals, Free Journals, Key Journals: Promoting Digital Engagement in Digital Writing Research.”
An infographic that outlines my complete presentation can be found here.
Resources for locating digital, peer-reviewed, open access scholarship:
- Directory of Open Access Journals
- OAIster (WorldCat)
- Open Access Directory (Wiki)
- Open Access Theses And Dissertations
Note: It is important to be wary of some sources proclaiming to offer open-access, refereed scholarship. A few databases (for example, the OMICS International Journals) have had their research integrity questioned. It is always important to assess the thoroughness of the peer review process prior to citing any work.
If you have any additional tips for locating (and avoiding!) particular resources, or if you have a favorite open access, digital journal, I encourage you to leave a comment on this page.
