I am an Associate Professor of English & Communication at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. I am also the Founding Director of UMassD’s Writing & Multiliteracy Center.

As a researcher, I explore intersections of digital literacy, public discourse, and writing centers. My book, Open-Access, Multimodality, and Writing Center Studies (Palgrave Macmillan, 2017), was nominated for the 2018 International Writing Centers Association Outstanding Book Award. Chapter Five of this text, where I synthesize conversations with seven writing center scholars, is available open-access.
